Neil has completed a BTEC, Level 4 in Advanced Motorcycle Instruction. This qualification is gained by demonstrating an ability to teach, developing learning material based on advanced riding. It ensures the instructor has a solid knowledge base and is able to impart this knowledge in a classroom environment. It is all very well having the theory, I hear you say. Neil has over ten years riding experience, which has been built up in all weathers and conditions, on and off-road.

Neil formed Ayrshire Advanced Motorcyclists in 1999 before leaving to become Divisional Council Member, Scotland and Northern Ireland on the IAM Groups Council. Neil also assisted the IAM Motorcycling Manager, Dave Shenton with motorcycling matters, North of the Border.

Neil helped evaluate Strathclyde Police Bikesafe when it was conceived. He has worked with Strathclyde Police, Traffic Education and Support Team, delivering Bikesafe presentations at Jackton, Force Training and Recruitment Centre.
